Our Indigenous Commitment to first Nations engagement
At XPG, we are committed to reconciliation and fostering meaningful First Nations engagement through respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our journey towards reconciliation is guided by our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). It reflects our dedication to engage, support and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both within and beyond our organisation.
Our RAP is built on three core pillars:

Relationships

Respect

Opportunities
Through these pillars, we aim to bridge the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. We encourage a more inclusive and respectful society. We believe that education, awareness, and inclusive practices are essential to creating a deeper understanding of Indigenous culture, history, and perspectives of First Nations engagement. Our commitment to this journey starts by empowering our people. We enable them to better appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
Our RAP-054964 Guidelines document serves as a crucial resource for all employees. It provides valuable insights into Indigenous culture and history. This lays the foundation for stronger, more respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
And it also reinforces XPG’s commitment to reconciliation in all aspects of our business operations.

Featured Artist: Dearne Khan
Artist Profile: Dearne Khan, a proud Wiradjuri woman, grew up on Wallumedegal land and now lives on Darug country. As a talented artist, she brings her cultural heritage and healing practices to life through her creative work. In addition to her art, Dearne works as a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor. She actively facilitates Dadirri mindfulness, art, and weaving workshops, which empower individuals to heal and reconnect with both culture and community. Moreover, her holistic approach fosters resilience and strengthens cultural identity.
Artwork Title: “Creation and Connections”
Dearne’s artwork, Creation and Connections, powerfully depicts the Rainbow Serpent—a central figure in Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. This spiritual being represents the creator and protector of life. Consequently, the piece symbolises the sacred relationship between land, people, and spirit. Additionally, it features native flora such as Wattle, Quandong, and Flannel Flower, which are vital for nourishment and healing. Through her vivid portrayals of landscapes and communities, Dearne emphasises the enduring values of environmental stewardship—values that have been passed down through generations.
A Message from Xtreme Protection Group:
Xtreme Protection Group proudly showcases Dearne’s artwork as part of our commitment to promoting cultural awareness. Furthermore, this partnership reflects our deep respect for Indigenous traditions, stories, and the vital role of protecting our environment.
Our Actions: Honouring Indigenous Cultures
At XPG, our commitment to Indigenous communities extends far beyond words. It is deeply rooted in our actions, values, and the inclusive environment we strive to create. To demonstrate our respect and appreciation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, we proudly display Indigenous artwork throughout our workplaces. These pieces serve not only as visual inspirations but also as daily reminders of our dedication to reconciliation and First Nations engagement. Furthermore, they emphasise the importance of acknowledging and respecting Indigenous history and stories.
We actively encourage employees to engage with these artworks as more than just decorations. Instead, we view them as powerful conduits for cultural learning, dialogue, and appreciation. By integrating Indigenous art and symbols of respect into our everyday spaces, we intentionally cultivate a workplace culture that honours and celebrates Indigenous heritage and values. As a result, our reconciliation efforts are visible and consistently reinforced in our day-to-day practices.
In addition, our commitment goes further through artwork displays, cultural education programmes, and meaningful engagement initiatives. Together, these actions create a workplace that not only respects Indigenous culture but also contributes to its ongoing preservation, understanding, and celebration.
